Insider Tips

  • 🚗
Book transport early. Public buses are nearly non-existent. If you want to visit Filitosa or Sartène independently, reserve a rental car weeks ahead — summer fleets sell out fast.
  • Tender or dock? Check your ship's daily program the evening before. Large ships anchor and tender; smaller ships dock at the marina quay. Either way you land in the town center.
  • 🏖️
Beach is walkable. Plage de Mancinu is 10 minutes on foot from the pier — no taxi needed for a swim. Bring a towel; facility rental can be €10-15.
  • 🕐
Siesta is real. Many small shops close 12:30–3:30 PM. Plan your shopping in the morning or after 4 PM. Restaurants and marina cafes stay open.
  • 💶
Cash is handy. Cards are accepted almost everywhere in town, but carry a little euro for beach chairs, bakeries, and market stalls.
