If you use the "Share with fellow cruisers" form on a port page, we collect the first name and content you choose to submit (a tip or a walking route), along with the port it relates to. Submissions are sent to us for editorial review and are not published automatically.

Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location (derived from IP address). This is standard server and analytics log data, not information you actively submit.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and comparable technologies (such as local storage) for:
- Advertising — serving and measuring ads via Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads), when applicable.
- Affiliate tracking — when you click a partner link (see Section 4), the partner network may set its own cookie to attribute a booking to this site.
We don't run a separate analytics/tracking platform of our own — the technologies above are the only cookie-setting activity on this site. You can control cookies at any time through your browser's privacy settings, including blocking or clearing cookies for this site.

We retain reader-submitted tips/walks for as long as needed for editorial review and, if published, for as long as the related content remains on the Site. Analytics and advertising data is retained per the relevant provider's own retention policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
