From the tender jetty, pass through Porta del Mare into the old town and climb the salite (stepped lanes) through the historic center. Pass Piazza della Repubblica and continue up to Villa dei Mulini, then to Forte Falcone for 360° views. Return the same way or descend via Forte Stella.
Head north from Calata Mazzini along the harbor road, rounding the headland to reach Elba's most accessible beach. The promenade is flat all the way. Shaded park benches, beach clubs, and a snack bar await.

The pier is integrated into the waterfront — the historic center and key sights are a short, mostly flat walk away. Some hilltop areas (like the Medici Fortresses) require uphill climbing.
Summer shuttle buses connect the port to the old town, running every ~10 minutes from approximately 7:15 AM–2:30 PM and 4:40 PM–8:00 PM. Tender passengers are dropped directly in town.
