Insider Tips

  • Afternoon riposo: Shops and churches close roughly 13:30–17:00. Plan monument visits and shopping for the morning; use the afternoon for beaches or a long lunch.
  • 🥐
Try farrata: Manfredonia's signature spelt-and-ricotta pastry is found at local bakeries (panifici) — look for signs near Corso Manfredi. Best warm.
  • 💶
Carry cash: Smaller trattorias, bakeries and buses prefer cash. ATMs are available near Piazza Marconi.
  • 🚕
Fix taxi fares upfront: Agree the price before you get in. The ride to Siponto is short (~€8-12 each way); Monte Sant'Angelo will cost more (~€40-60 round trip).
