Village to Far Beach Snorkel Walk

Insider Tips

  • 💧
Bring your own water. There are no shops or restaurants on the island. Pack enough for the whole day, plus snacks if you'll be active.
  • 🤿
Bring your own snorkel gear if you have it. Rental from village stalls is inconsistent. This reef is the highlight of the stop — don't miss it.
  • 💵
Cash only, small bills. No ATMs, no card readers. USD and AUD are widely accepted alongside FJD. Bring small denominations for the market.
  • 👗
Dress modestly for the village. Cover up when walking through the village — a sarong over swimwear is fine and respectful. Islanders are welcoming but appreciate the gesture.
  • ☀️
The Fijian sun is intense. Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and a rash guard are essentials. Shade on the island is limited away from the village.
