A short riverboat excursion upstream to the tiny village of Beilstein — the 'Sleeping Beauty' of the Moselle — passes vineyards and a ruined hilltop castle. Round-trip boats run seasonally from Cochem's waterfront.
Ride the Cochem chairlift (Sesselbahn) from near the town bridge up to Pinnerkreuz for panoramic views over the Moselle bend, the castle, and the vineyards. A short downhill walk back through the vines is an option.
Beneath a residential hillside in Cochem-Cond, across the Moselle from the old town, lies Germany’s Cold War emergency-currency vault. The museum gives an approximate 20–25-minute walk from Endertplatz; the approach is uphill. Check guided-tour times and the seasonal BunkerShuttle before setting out.
Wander the cobblestone lanes around Marktplatz, admire the Baroque Rathaus, and stop at the Senfmühle (historic mustard mill) at Endertstraße 18, where you can watch traditional mustard production and buy local varieties.

Walk from the Marktplatz up Schlossberg — the main pedestrian path to Reichsburg Castle. The climb gains about 100 m in elevation through wooded switchbacks; the descent is easier and can be varied through the vineyard lanes.
A flat, scenic walk along the Moselle riverbank in both directions from the ship — past moored boats, riverside cafés, and vineyard-covered hillsides. Great for a relaxed start or end to the day.
