Port to Parque de los Novios & the Cathedral

Head straight from the pier along Calle 10 into the historic centre. Parque de los Novios — the city's social hub — is five minutes on foot, ringed by restaurants and cafés. From there, a short block reaches the Catedral de Santa Marta, one of the oldest in the Americas.
Follow the renovated Malecón waterfront promenade past the Estatua de Simón Bolívar and the old customs house. The palm-lined boardwalk offers great views of the bay and Sierra Nevada on clear mornings.
A short taxi ride south of the port brings you to El Rodadero, Santa Marta's most popular beach resort area. Calm, sheltered waters, beach vendors, and plenty of fried fish make it a relaxed half-day option close to the ship.
