The port is roughly 1.5–2 km from the historic downtown. Paseo Baquedano (pedestrian boulevard) and Plaza Prat are reachable on foot in about 20 minutes.

Uber is available and provides upfront pricing. Uber Taxi (local drivers on the platform) expanded in Iquique in late 2025.
