A small number of expedition ships (e.g., Ultramarine) offer helicopter-assisted landings at otherwise inaccessible sites. Typically an add-on or included depending on the vessel.
All land movement is on foot, guided by qualified expedition naturalists. IAATO regulations limit group sizes and require guides to accompany all passengers ashore.
