Aspendos Roman Theater
One of the best-preserved Roman theaters on earth, Aspendos (47 km east) seats 15,000 and still hosts performances. Its acoustics are legendary — clap from the top row and you'll hear it on stage.

Wander cobblestone lanes past Ottoman mansions, Byzantine walls, and the triple-arched Hadrian's Gate — built in 130 AD for Emperor Hadrian's visit. The Roman harbour below is a scenic spot to end the walk.
Perge's colonnaded Roman streets, grand gate, and stadium are about 25 km from port (18 km east of the city center). Pair it with the Antalya Museum in town — its Perge sculpture gallery is one of Turkey's finest collections of classical art.

The Lower Düden Waterfall plunges directly into the Mediterranean — the only way to see it properly is from the sea. Boat tours leave from the Old Harbour and often include a swim stop and lunch.
Seven kilometres of pebble-and-sand beach just west of the city, with crystal-clear water and mountain backdrop. Sunbeds and facilities available. A short taxi or tram ride from Kaleiçi.
Perched at 1,050 m in the Güllük Mountains, Termessos is an Alexander-era city Alexander the Great decided not to besiege. The dramatic hilltop theater and necropolis reward the climb.

Follow the clifftop park south of Kaleiçi for panoramic Mediterranean views and the Hidirlik Tower — a 2nd-century Roman monument. Great early-morning option before the heat builds.
