The island is tiny — there's really only one walk, but it ends somewhere spectacular.

Island Circuit & Sandbar Walk

1 km · 20 min · Easy · Flat sand

Start at the resort jetty and loop the entire island on sandy paths and wooden boardwalks. At the island's western tip, look for the sandbar — at low tide it emerges as a narrow tongue of white sand extending into open ocean, with water on both sides. The most photographed spot on the island.

Insider Tips

  • 🎫
Book through the ship. You cannot access this private island without a pre-arranged excursion or day pass. Sort it before you sail — capacity is limited.
  • 🧴
Reef-safe sunscreen only. Chemical sunscreens are harmful to coral and strictly prohibited. Bring mineral (zinc-based) sunscreen or buy it on the island.
  • ☀️
The equatorial sun is brutal. Rash guards, hats, and sunglasses are not optional — UV levels here are extreme year-round.
  • 💵
Pay in USD or card. US dollars and major credit cards are accepted everywhere on the island. You will not need Maldivian rufiyaa.
  • 🦈
Don't chase the reef sharks. Baby blacktip reef sharks in the shallows are harmless, but feeding or touching marine life is illegal in the Maldives.
